TSH level increased to 18.27 what to do?
On the behalf of my father I am asking a general question about thyroid disorder. My dad recovered from covid 19 fully few days back after testing his reports his lipid profile and thyroid profile were increased a bit thus asking a question his cholesterol levels increased as he stopped the medication for some weeks.Doctor suggested Ecosprin AV 150/20 for lessen the lipids also the TSH levels are about 18.27 which is high in range currently on 50 mcg thyroxine.after covid recovery is that normal to increase TSH level kindly advice thanks in advance 🙏🏻

You can continue Ecosprin AV.. For high TSH, the dose of thyroxine tablet should be increased after detailed history and evaluation.  Kindly consult an Endocrinologist.

Thyroid function tests abnormalities including hypothyroidism or increased TSH can be seen following covid infection. Hence thyroid function needs to be monitored periodically
