TSH 7.27 & Anti TPO< 28
I have been diagnosed with TSH 7.27 & T3 129 & T4 8.7  Anti TPO <28. Further to above my father is thyorid patient using 100 mg tablets. Should under go medication? 6 months before TSH was 6.7 One of the doctor I consulted intstructed not worry and medication not required if it is below 10 Kindly advise.

Dear friend, Your TSH has gone up marginally. TSH less then 10 is called subclinical hypothyroidism. To treat or not is depending on other factors such as age, BP, Diabetes and gender. In your case it’ll be worth waiting for 3 months.
Next Steps
Check TSH at a different reputed laboratory after 3 months.
Health Tips
Exercise regularly. Don’t hold hypothyroidism responsible for weight gain if any.
