Transvaginal ultrasound
Hi doctor,
Yesterday I went to transvaginal ultrasound. After 5 to 6 hours I feel like itching in my vagina and got urinary infection. I feel burning sensation in my vagina while passing urine . May I know this is because they have used probe without cleaning. I'm really scared will it cause any sexually transmitted diseases.do they clean probe ?

Yes the problem will be cleaned it is used only with sterile gloves or sterile condoms
