You are comparing 2 different kinds of medical practice:
1. Alternate medicine- Chiropractic :- Transdermal atlas positioning is a kind of chiropractic therapy. Its efficacy is unknown. It is not a proven mode of treatment, and it's benfit ( if any) isn't long lasting.
2. Modern Medicine: As a modern medicine practitioner and a Neurosurgeon, i can say that Foramen Magnum decompression(FMD) is the definitive treatment for Chiari malformation- proven treatment.
I donot recommend any alternate therapy whose efficacy is not known, whose benefit is questionable.
If you wish to give a try you can, but as a Neurosurgeon I cannot and will not suggest these kind of therapies..
