Bottle feeding leads to confusion on the part of child and increases the risk of infections like loose motions.child takes milk from bottle passively ,it means that the milk drops by gravity but from bottle the child has to actively suck and extract milk by making efforts.this leads to nipple confusion as the baby who is bottle fed expects the milk to come from mother's breast without sucking leading to poor intake and eventually the bottle feed will need to be increased so stay away from bottle even one time. Now the mother is getting exhausted that's true, new Mummies and specifically first timers  do get exhausted .Do these things 1.Mother to rest when the baby rests.i mean allow the mother to sleep when baby does specifically in day time ,as for the first 90 days the baby is sleeping in day and is awake in night. 2.check the child's attachment to mother's breast.( A pediatrician or lactational consultant can help) 3.mother to sit straight back touching support while feeding and do not lower yourself to reach the child instead put 2 pillows below child and elevate the baby to mom's breast. 4.mother to take a hot bath preferably a tub to take care of circulation. 5.a back massage for moment works well if done by a professional. 6.use a good battery operated breast pump to extract milk in day .Store it at room temperature . Warm it by putting it in glass container and heating by putting that bottle under warm water. Offer baby stored mom's feed after a breast feeding session.
Next Steps
meet a pediatrician who practices lactation guidance
Health Tips
taking hot water.fenugreek and a healthy nutritious diet will increase mother's output.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Im sorry to say this but till 6 months of age, the baby should get only mother's milk and nothing else. Even water is not to be given. So obviously bottle feeding is not suggested. Yes you can pump out some milk and give with a spoon. But its always better if a baby sucks it out. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
