It depends upon extent of damage caused by the decay. In case its a small defect, can be correctly aesthically with composite filling material.

Restoring the decayed part with esthetic restorative material will be the ideal solution, if at all the decay has not reached the pulp.
If it is deep and involves pulp, the ideal solution is to go for Root canal treatment followed by crown of your choice.
