Hello, you can do warm salt water rinses as a home remedy, but this will give only temporary relief from pain. you need to visit a dentist and get it checked. get an x-ray done. pain could be due to infection to the root of the tooth, you need to get it treated. then get a crown placed over it.

Please visit a dentist asap. Severe pain indicates that your infection probably would have reached pulp/nerve. After clinical examination and X-ray, your dentist can decide treatment.

Hello Ma'am
Greetings of the day. You need to get a x-ray done so that the extent of the decay is known. If the decay has reached the nerves the tooth will need a RCT otherwise a filling can be done. In the meantime, warm saline gargles several times a day can help relieve the pain temporarily.
