Tooth crown came off
3 years back I had Root canal treatment. Today, while having dinner my tooth crown came off. I have a dentist appointment on Saturday which is 4 days from today. I was able to put back the crown into its place. Do I need to visit the same dentist or any dentist is fine. What I need to do in order to protect my exposed teeth?

Keep that crown safely in a pack.. don't try to fix it on the tooth..there is danger of swallowing of that crown..which may be some times aspirated into vital organs.

Keep the crown separately in a clean pack. Do not place lose crown over the tooth as later accidentally it may get swallowed or aspirated in lungs. See a dentist as soon as possible. Till then avoid chewing food from that side of mouth and keep the area clean by brushing and rinsing mouth.
Next Steps
See a dentist soon.

The crown needs to be cemented in place which only a dentist can do .. u can’t do it on ur own . U can visit any dentist for ur crown cementation .. provided ur filling is not broken . If only the cap is out , it can be re cemented .

Hi...You need to visit a dentist to place back your crown .Dont try to place it yourself as you may accidently swallow it. Keep it in a box or pack till your visit to a dentist.
