First, examine the affected tooth clinically..then advice for periapical xray for checking the extent of the caries (cavity) if the cavity is big and it is near to the pulp (nerve) then we can perform root canal therapy (rct)..if the cavity is not near to the pulp it is okay for doing a tooth colored restoration (composite filling)
