Too much forgetfulness
Hello sir I am a student of class 12 Earlier I didn't have trouble with remembering things but from 9-10 months I am very forgetful. I forget names of people or things or the path through which I traveled or any concept I learnt etc. Now I can remember things only for short term like for few hours or so. But I can remember large events like what I did when I woke up in the morning or where I went etc. These things are bothering me so much. I have even met three psychiatrists and a counselor ( First time in my home town after about 1-2 months the problem started and second and third one in AIIMS Patna). Even after taking the medicine I have not noticed any improvement. I have tried many techniques to remember things I have also tried to forget about it but that too doesn't work. It is very difficult to convince my parents and relatives that I have such problem and still no one believes me.This makes me very stressed. I only want to get my memory power back. Please help me sir.

Forgetfulness at your age is most likely due to anxiety or depression. Have you been started on any medications for that, if yes did you take them for a proper duration of 8 weeks before declaring them to be not working? Has a comorbid attention deficit Disorder been ruled out? I'd also like to get you investigated for a thyroid function test, B12, electrolytes, CBC and Vit D levels as abnormality in them can lead to forgetfulness.
