Hello sir
I am a student of class 12
Earlier I didn't have trouble with remembering things but from 9-10 months I am very forgetful. I forget names of people or things or the path through which I traveled or any concept I learnt etc. Now I can remember things only for short term like for few hours or so. But I can remember large events like what I did when I woke up in the morning or where I went etc. These things are bothering me so much. I have even met three psychiatrists and a counselor ( First time in my home town after about 1-2 months the problem started and second and third one in AIIMS Patna). Even after taking the medicine I have not noticed any improvement. I have tried many techniques to remember things I have also tried to forget about it but that too doesn't work. It is very difficult to convince my parents and relatives that I have such problem and still no one believes me.This makes me very stressed.
I only want to get my memory power back.
Please help me sir.

Talk to experienced psychiatrist online and get your health questions answered in just 5 minutes.
Forgetfulness at your age is most likely due to anxiety or depression. Have you been started on any medications for that, if yes did you take them for a proper duration of 8 weeks before declaring them to be not working? Has a comorbid attention deficit Disorder been ruled out?
I'd also like to get you investigated for a thyroid function test, B12, electrolytes, CBC and Vit D levels as abnormality in them can lead to forgetfulness.
