Tonsillitis
My daughter is having tonsillitis since Friday.. we took her to children hospital and doctor gave few medicines and told that it will go away in 3 days.. but until today it didn't cured.. we took her again to doctor, he told to take a blood test.. her CRP value is 31 and widal test is positive. Doctor also suggested to take covid test.. is it necessary to take a test.. she is 10 years old I am really terrified.her blood test report is attached here. Please tell me what to do.. 🙏

A positive Widal Test may also indicate a Covid19 infection as there is antigen crossreactivity between both the germs. Just to be on the safer side, get an RTPCR done. If negative, your doctor will prescribe the right antibiotic to treat the Tonsillopharyngitis.

Since her CRP is high and she has fever, she is suspect for COVID19 infection, she has to undergo RTPCR test for COVID19 infection.
