Tonsillitis

Asked for Female, 17 Years

I had a tonsillectomy in 2011. This year I have had 4 episodes of tonsillitis. They've seemed to of grown back specially on my right hand side. Its JUST bearable with pain killers. I'm worried this will worsen and affect my education as it did in past, can I get them removed again?

Surgeon might have left a remnant of tonsil because tonsils won't grow back once removed. Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
