I have pain in my tongue from a month and when I consulted a dentist he said it's because of some tastebuds swollen. I used to smoke . Is this anything serious. Pain is not always but in the morning and sometimes when I smoke there is pain from back. Pls suggest me what to do

You should consult an Oral Medicine specialist specifically for a thorough examination. If there are no apparent clinical findings, Ultrasound is recommended for the neck (for lymphatics and drainage) and of the tongue to rule out pathology.

Could be related to inflamed tonsils . Even gadtroesophageal reflux can cause discomfort in the throat in the morning. Please consult a doctor for proper diagnosis
