To many medicines/metformin
I am having following medicines for my diabeties: Zoryl mv 2/0.3 once daily Vilpower 500mg twice daily Glyvomet 500mg once daily Zoryl mv 1/0.3 once daily I think there is too much of metformin 2500mg per day. Please suggest if there is any side effects due to this high dosage of metformin. If yes please suggest an alternative.

Hi, Noted that you are on metformin 2500 mg... Only side effect would be bloated sensation like fullness in stomach, reduced apetite, in some patients may get loose stools... in such case we need to reduce dose.... If you are tolerating 2500 mg dose, then no need to change... Maximum dose recommended is 3000 mg per day.... so not to worry Consult online... for further assistance
