TMT is a kind of stress test for your heart. Changes in blood pressure, ecg changes, heart rate variability are seen while walking on treadmill at different stages. Test is negative if after reaching a particular stage your ecg is not showing any sign of heart blockage. It is not a fool proof test and does not completely rule out reversible myocardial ischemia (rmi) but it has quiet good positive predictive value and rules out significant heart disease .
