cardiologist-icon
TMT negative
Minor ECG changes, Echo normal except for LVH. TMT 10.1 METS  negative for inducible ischemia. But Cardiologist prescribed Ecospirin AV 75/40. ( LDL 174, HDL 38, TG 208 ). Also taking medicines for hypertension since 10+ years. Kindly advice is Ecospirin AV essential , since no evidence of Coronary artery disease. My GP told only hypertension medicine Cilacar + Telmisartan and Rosuvasatin 5 is enough or seek a second cardiology opinion.

Prescribing blood thinners at your age is not a bad decision. Although there is no evidence of coronary disease but your cardiologist has advised it in view of a predisposing factor (Hypertension and increased Triglycerides) There is no strong guidelines to give ecosprin prophylactically You can stop it but continue anti hypertensive and statins
