Tinnitus,hyperacusis
Hi. For the past Four weeks I have been suffering from tinnitus,a symptoms caused by acoustic trauma. In addition, I have hyperacusis. For now, this is all mild but I am still very anxious and depressed because of the condition. I still need to check my hearing. Please tell me if there is any chance od this going away if I rest my ears for a year? Avoid loud eventa and put earplugs im my ears... Will be there any cure for this damage in near future?

Noise induce hearing loss are of two types temporary and permanent. Temporary usually becomes normal with in 24 hrs of exposure. Get Pure Tone Audiometry and tinnitus matching done. If there is loss then it is suggested to use hearing aids with tinnitus masker.
