Time taken for detecting nodules in CT ?
I am a student at VIT, pursuing my bachelors in IT. We are researching on a topic i.e. LUNG CANCER DIAGNOSIS I wanted to know how does a doctor come to know that a person has cancer when he is provided with the chest CT scan? How long does it take for the doctor to detect malignant nodules/tumors in the CT scan and conclude the stage of cancer? This is for a research topic, in which we are trying to automate the task of detecting a nodule/tumor in lung through the patient's CT scan. Thank you.

I think this is not the right platform to discuss this issue as this is for patient queries related to their disease. You can always discuss and or meet an oncologist for your research.
