Tibia fractured
My upper head of tibia got fractured in august 2016. operated immediately wid two metallic plates and 9 screws. but now i feel pain in my knee joint. i want to remove the plates. kindly suggest. weather the operation will be same or this time minor operation can b done.

Kindly show me x rays of the affected part. Before the implants are removed,make sure that the fracture has united.

Hello Plate removal operation is comparatively simpler but depends upon the present x-ray Nd position of screws .

Implant removal of a well placed implant may be tricky and sometimes difficult. Please be sure that the symptoms you are having are due to implants only and not due to something else. Removal of two plates would be undergoing almost similar surgery, same big incisions and two weeks of sutures. Medical literature is also guarded in this Please share X-ray so that I can guide you better
