Thyroidectomy
Hi I had total thyroidectomy due to Thyroid cancer, Parathyroids were preserved. Taking calcium supplement of 2000 mg. Day of discharge calcium was 8.3mg/DL Before Rai therapy calcium was 10.2mg/DL After 11 days of RAI calcium was 7mg/DL Later after 10 days calcium was 7.2mg/DL My albumin level is 4.2gms/DL If my Albumin is normal and earlier calcium was normal why there is sudden decrease ? What blood test should I appear for ?

Hi, You should consult your surgeon and get your self evaluated. You need to take calcium supplementation if it's low. You may check serum PTH levels..
