Thyroid Test
Hi Dr.
My anti TPO test result is 609. What does that mean? Is it something to worry about? What should I do now? My dr is out of station for some time. Please suggest.

Hello
It points towards an autoimmune thyroid disease which will cause your thyroid gland to function lesser than normal
Do full thyroid function tests if not done - TSH , Free T 4 and T 3
If there is any swelling in neck requires a ultrasound of your neck
Next Steps
Do blood tests as recommended
Post which consult your doctor for medications to manage the same
Would recommend to also check for your hemoglobin , kidney functions and blood pressure during next next visit
