Previously I was taking 100 mcg thyroxine but recently I went for test and I came to know that the reports are normal ( TSH - 2.24 ) should I continue the dose aur stop taking it ? Or should I reduce the  mcg dose of tab like less than 100 mcg? Kindly suggest me .

Your reports are normal because of medicicines, so continue ongoing medicicine, it is life time replacement therapy , monitoring every 6 months needed to adjust dose of medicine

The dose of thyroxine depends on the body weight . The target TSH should be the mid normal of the reference range of the lab . So in your case it’s just perfect so you don’t need to decrease the dose of thyroxine . DR PEERZADA OVAIS MBBS, PhD ( Endocrinology) Allan Drash clinical Fellow .

Reduce the dosage to 75mcg.... And take it for one month and then repeat the test
