Thyroid problem
Hello Doctor, we are planning to have a baby. I did some tests before we could start and found that i have higher range thyroid of 5.51 My doctor started with Thyronorm medicine 25 mg, 1 tablet daily and asked me to do the tests again after a month. Just wanted your opinion on this and also is there any other eating habits i need to follow to bring down my thyroid back to normal range. Also my doctor said we cannot start planning before my thyroid comes normal. So please help me with your advice.

Hello, I went through your query, please continue you medications as your doctor advised and have regular follow up, please avoid Goitrogen Foods , that is Eating large amounts of raw Brassica vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, soy and Brussels sprouts might impact thyroid function because these contain goitrogens, molecules that impair thyroid perioxidase.
