Thyroid nodule
Is it possible for a hypodense nodule on an enlarged thyroid lobe to not be toxic even when there are clear symptoms of hyperthyroidism? If it is toxic, will the gland have to be destroyed or removed ?

yes, Nodule cannbe non toxic also so , Kindly go for technitium scan for Thyroid if your TSH is lower and T4bis higher than normal range.... to check for toxic nodule... If nodule is toxic better to get Radio active iodine treatment to just destroy the toxic nodular activity cells... once and final treatment
