I have a cyst on right side of my thyroid. In 2020 the size of the cyst was 1.5 cm. But now it's 2.4 cm. Doctor suggested me to surgery. He advised me to remove 1side of my thyroid gland. Is there any problem? I am worried that other side works properly or not?

There is no need to worry. Even if one side is removed, the other side will function well. People live comfortably with hormone replacement even after complete thyroid removal.

After Hemithyroidectomy the other side of the gland works permanently normal, u should get a thyroid function tests done and an FNAC done and then we will be able to decide the procedure.
FNAC of the thyroid swelling to check the tissue nature.
Free T3, T4, TSH to know the status of thyroid hormone in body.
Decision is taken according to report.
