The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) recommends 0.3 to 3 mIU/ml as the appropriate normal range for TSH. In older adults, a TSH upto 5 mIU/ml may be normal. TSH can be suppressed in first trimester of pregnancy. Levothyroxine dose is adjusted to give patient symptomatic relief and to maintain TSH levels within normal reference range.
Next Steps
Consult a general physician to adjust your levothyroxine dosage according to your symptoms and TSH levels.
