Thyroid issue
I m on thyroid medication since 2015... There is no history of thyroid in my full family... My thyroid (tsh) is normal since last year and before too. 23-3-19 - tsh value 7.87 9-12-19- tsh value 4.39 14-05-20 tsh value 1.51 26-9-20 tsh value 4.2 I m taking 62 mg daily... I want to stop all medications. There is no genetic history of such diseases including diabetes or any heart disease. Pls suggest how to stop all these medications. I don't want to eat Medicines any more. Is there any test required to get rid of this medicines thyronorm. I had heared once a person told taking hormone pills suppresses original function or activity  of the hormone releasing for making glands. Is it true ???

Your reports are normal on 62 microgram of thyronorm itself proves you require that dose for your thyroid function to be normal No question of quitting it. If you stop medicines,then tsh  will increase  and you start getting many symptoms. No permanent cure for Thyroid Lifelong treatment required

Usually thyroid treatment is long term. There is no alternative to taking thyroid medicine. It’s not true the thyroid medicines does not cause any harm u can take it long term. If TSH is normal u need to continue same dose of the thyroid.
