I have hypothyroid and want to know if i need to fast before the thyroid profile . I have read in some places that it is required to fast and some mention that we can do it at any time in the day .

Yes thyroid test can be done at any time of the day, no fasting required. However, ideally if you want to do it, blood for thyroid test should be given on empty stomach (morning fasting sample) before taking the thyroid tablet & then continue the tablet as usual till u meet ur endocrinologist, thanks.

No. Fasting isnt required for thyroid tests.
