Thyroid and depression?
I have been diagnosed with thyroid 2 years back, but didn't take medications. Now, im feeling so depressed, feeling like my brain functional is so slow and feeling an overall melancholy for quite sometime. Are the two related?

Hi.. Thanks for contacting practo for health query. Your were diagnosed to have thyroid issue but you are not with medicines,you feel down . Do not worry. It should be hypothyroidism. It is not a life threatening condition( usually ). But then it might complicate life in the sense you might become somnolent ,gain weight,loose hair,bones might loose strength and you will have water lodging in your body.
Next Steps
Get yourself examined by a physician and take up investigations like freeT3,free T4 and TSH. Proceed as doctor suggest.
