My 3 month old daughter started sucking her thumb from last 2-3 weeks. Her breast/formula milk intake is also reduced.She stopped latching from left side which she used to do before and always try to suck her thumb. she refuses bottle as well.

Thumb sucking is a normal process in this age group. It's a soothing experience for the baby. Do not force the baby not to put a thumb in the mouth. Only at the time of feeding, you can withdraw the thumb and give her feeds.

Putting hand to mouth around 3 month is a part of development process, intellectual process. So nothing to worry about. Just continue feed as and when she demands
