Throxine Dose Change
Taking Thyronorm 75 mcg since 2-1/2 months. Current TSH is 5.75 ( Lab cut off 4.2 ).TSH is tested today. Feeling sleepy throughout day. Blood Pressure is 160/90 ( Taking Cilacar10 and Met XL 25 ) For this TSH increase in dosage required?

Dose of thyroxine depends on body weight . For subclinical or mild hypothyroidism ( TSH high and T4, T3 normal ) dose is 1 mcg of thyroxine per Kg and in overt hypothyroidism or severe ( TSH high , T4 low ) dose is 1.6 to 1.8 mcg per kg .
Next Steps
You will need to increase the dose of thyroxine . Also you will need to change the BP medications your BP is not under control .
