Hi doctor, is it worry, anxiety and depression can lead to throat sore, as one my friend is suffering from sore throat since more than 2 months and he always thinks that he has something happend to his throat and doctor advised that he does not have anything and prescribed depression pills? Please suggest

Consult nearby ent doctor at the earliest for solution.
Meanwhile take pan d once before food.

Hi! According to symptoms, it seems that your friend is suffering from globus pharyngeus which occurs due acid reflux into throat and yes some psychological factors are also associated with it. So usually we prescribe antacids along with anti anxiety drugs. It will be better if you can take your friend to ENT specialist for throat endoscopy that will confirm the diagnosis.
