Throat pain
Hello doctor I’m very frequently having throat infections lately since march. i’m a moderate alcohol drinker and smoke very rarely. Recently i’ve been facing persistent Pain in the throat which usually occurs when i swallow saliva not while eating or drinking water. i consulted with an ENT and she said it is due to tonsils. I have a history of Cronic tonsillitis when i was young! also i have seen some red boils at the back of my throat. is it throat cancer? or my tonsillitis is back?

If it is already diagnosed as Chronic tonsillitis, it needs serious consideration before looking for other associated conditions which could coexist incidentally. Considering that you smoke & consume alcohol, an Acid peptic disease needs to be ruled out.
Next Steps
Ideal to quit both.
