Sore throats are NOT to be self medicated. Some of these germs if not treated and eliminated quickly could infect your kidneys or heart causing life threatening diseases like Rheumatic Heart Disease or Acute Glomerulonephritis which could need major surgery like Heart Valve replacement open heart surgeries, or needing lifelong dialysis support or even kidney transplant surgery! Go to an ENT Specialist immediately and get yourself treated for that sore throat immediately

its unlikely that regular throat infection will cause any danger. its very unlikely that throat discomfort, mild difficulty in swallowing and mild difficulty in breathing is anything major. rather than taking medicines without knowing exact cause of symptoms its better to consult nearby ENT specialist and get your throat examined. appropriate treatment will solve the problem
