Throat and ear pain
Due to cold I had throat pain for last week. Now there is no cold, but there is a sharp pain in left side of throat when swallowing. Last night pain spread to left ear too. What medicine helps?

you seem to be suffering from acute tonsillitis or aphthous ulcers in your throat. its difficult to tell exact diagnosis until your throat is examined if its acute tonsillitis you need to take antibiotics and pain killers, also you need to do frequent salt water gargling if its ulcers in your throat, which commonly occur after an attack of viral fever, you need to take only symptomatic treatment such as pain killers and usually they are self resolving and pain in the ear is very common when you have throat pain, since they have got common nerve supply. its unlikely that you have any problem in your ear
