My dad went for a sonography test and the result showed the prostate is enlarged in size and measures 51*30*33 mms(vol 27 cc) what should be done . Any suggestions? Is it serious. My dad's age is 59 yrs

Prostate enlargement is common among males after the age of 50 years and it is nothing to worry as the enlargement is not so huge it is better to start on medications which decrease the enlargement of prostate to avoid urinary problems in future if doubtful you may need to do a prostate specific antigen test.
