Tetanus injection is given to protect our body from a toxin produced by deadly bacteria. It is usually present in soil rusty places, etc. Whenever we get injured, there is a chance for these infections to get inside our system, so to protect ourselves, we are advised to take TT injection (kind of vaccine like injection). The validity of the TT injection is 6 months as per current protocol.

Tetanus is an infection caused by a bacteria Clostridium tetani, Spores of this bacteria are everywhere in the environment, including soil, dust, and manure. These develop into bacteria when they enter the body and cause infection which leads to very painful muscle spasms and dead subsequently. So vaccine is prescribed in cases of injury or wounds.
immunity lasts for 6 months only.
