Tetanus injection is given to protect our body from a toxin produced by deadly bacteria. It is usually present in soil rusty places, etc. Whenever we get injured, there is a chance for these infections to get inside our system, so to protect ourselves, we are advised to take TT injection (kind of vaccine like injection). The validity of the TT injection is 6 months as per current protocol.
