Test showed high sgpt
My wife was taking lefno till last week and her sgpt was 71 she stopped it and repeated the test it's now 88 and she is taking medicine for BP tellmekind 40 and last week she was on zifi and Allegra for cough apart from this she is taking vitamins d and omega 3 and folic acid.
Her appetite is fine no fever nothing as of now last she had also done test for blood sugar which was on borderline , what could be the reason for sudden rise in sgpt she does not consume alcohol and she travelled out of station for 2 days .

Hello dear patient, increase in liver enzymes can be due to drug related like lefno, so don't worry about it. Unless there are symptoms which bother you, then medicine may be started for this. Otherwise repeat this test after one week. Check if it's increasing or decreasing. Avoid any herbal or Ayurvedic medications without doctors prescription, that may also cause liver injury. Tc
