Dear Doctor,
I am writing to you today because my wife is experiencing elevated blood pressure, approximately 150/100, twelve days after giving birth. We consulted with a general physician who prescribed Amlokind AT in the morning and Telrose (40/10) in the evening. My primary concern revolves around the Telrose medication, as it contains 10mg of Rosuvastatin. I am unsure about its safety during breastfeeding and am quite anxious about this situation, especially considering my wife's elevated blood pressure. Any guidance or advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Not good to take either temisartan or Rosuvastatin during breast feeding. You can continue amlodipine in enhanced dose( shall inform in details, if contacted online).
Another option is to continue same meds and give top feed to the child, instead of breastfeeding.
For postpartum hypertension in lactating mothers the preferred and safe medication is labetalol or amlodipine. Using combination containing atenolol(amlokind at) or telrose is unsafe as it can pass through breast milk and cause bradycardia or hypotension in baby. Statin can affect infant cholesterol synthesis.
Next Steps
It is adviced you consult with your gynaecologist for proper monitoring of BP and alter the drug and dose accordingly.
