What are the different teeth whitening procedures? How painless are each of them? An estimate of costs of each such treatment would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi...Tooth whitening procedures(Bleaching)is the commonest and simplest procedures in the world of cosmetic dentistry...so it's painless while performing..but there are high chances of sensitivity after that...preferably you should go for thorough oral prophylaxis i.e scaling and polishing with microabrasion if required...most of the external stains will be cleared off...then see the results and amount of sensitivity...if results are ok then u need not go for the bleaching procedures or of too much of sensitivity for scaling itself then bleaching will be the worse scenario...On a lighter note tooth whitening procedures will never make your tooth sparkle like diamonds...few shades difference definitely will be visible depending on type of bleaching procedures (home bleach/In office bleach)...thank u...keep smiling
See what type of stains that your teeth hav, if they r extrinsic , can be cleared by routine teeth cleaning, if they r intrinsic that cn be done by bleaching, or laminates, venners.. ask your dentist for cost, pain usually does not happens in any of the above mentioned procedure. Adverse affects are more with bleaching like sensitivity, depreciation in whitening.
Other procedures are permanent solutions . And are more cosmetic but costlier as well..

There are different kinds of teeth whitening procedures based on the quality of the material used for the same, but one thing is common that all of them are painless procedures.... the cost of the procedure varies from dentist to dentist depending upon their location, experience and the type of materials used..... please consult your dentist for the options available in your case and their approximate costs....
Regards....
Hello,
usually they are broadly divided into In-office procedures and Home whitening procedures.Cost varies depending on the no. of sittings and the expertise of the dentist.
Hii.. please get Scaling and polishing done to begin with. Then if you need whitening , you have Office Bleach which is done by your dentist with or without Laser.
Other option is Home bleach wherein your dentist explains you how to do it, so that you can do it at home.
All Bleaching procedures are associated with transient sensitivity, dentist would use desensitising agents or prescribe paste to control sensitivity.
Price varies for the type of Bleaching you choose.Cosmetic procedures are usually pricy.
Note that whiteness doesn't last long, you may have to top up bleach once a year.
