Usually teeth erupts around 8 months it’s a bit early to have teeth at 6 months although is not uncommon
Mouthing is more common at this age....
Can give teethers..... let him chew

Normally teeth eruption for infants is after 6 months, Generally it won't pain.
But they used to have more irritability in their gum. So they usually bites things what ever available , and put fingers inside the mouth. There is a chances of gastrointestinal infection...
