Is tea tree oil helpful in getting rid of dandruff. and if it is good how to use it.. Directly or mixing it with coconut oil.

Tea tree oil for its moisturising and antifungal property can be used in dandruff treatment. Ideally you should use a good shampoo that contains 5percent essential tea tree oil or u can add 5 to 10 drops of tea tree oil to ur current shampoo n shake it well b4 use.

No it is useless. Dandruff can be treated with lotions and shampoo (not commercial ones). Some people do have more oily scalp which cause visible flakes which we call dandruff. There are some other conditions also which can present like flaking of the scalp and have to be ruled out. Do not apply oil on scalp as it will increase the problem. Better use a ketoconazole shampoo twice in a week, keep for 20mins then wash it, dont use any sort of oil, it wl increase dandruff
