Taxim O oral suspension caused diarrhoea
My son is 5M old, I have given taxim O 1ml only once for throat ache. I have observed the side effect of loose stools. When these loose stools will stop. Is this Antibiotic is harmful

Hello. There is side effect of antibiotic associated diarrhoea in some babies and your baby most probably is having loose stools as a side effect to taximO. At the same time, personally I do not support giving taxim O for throat ache , that too in once dose regimen. Please consult a pediatrician and get a proper advice for your baby concern.
