I've been having runny nose and sneezing for about a week with coughing and mucus. Feels tastelesness for food and tongue has been very itchy. I keep rubbing my tongue against the teeth to sooth the itchiness. What kind of doctor should i consult

This could be the effect of the infection or also of the medications prescribed for your illness. I will advise to go conservatively and have patience for a few days. Clean your tongue meticulously with your toothbrush only without the use of tongue cleaners and maintain a good level of hydration. These kind of symptoms are normal in the convalescent stage and if they do not subside in 7 to 10 days you can consult an oral pathologist for a case evaluation. Regards.
