Slapping of children will worsen this condition. Make playful environment and often encourage and appreciate good behaviour of your child. This will improve your child head banging

This is called head banging and is known at this age. Please visit a child psychologist. They can help with behavioural therapy. Nothing to worry about as this habit goes away time
These are sounding like temper tantrums with head banging.
