Taking sizodon ls 2mg while breastfeedin

Asked for Female, 35 Years

I have a 3month old baby and I am having psychotic issue.Dr suggest me to take Simpson ls 2mg at night and breastfeed after 4hr.is it ok and it will not affect my baby.please answer.

Although antipsychotic are avoided during lactation, but if needed Sizodon is prescribed. No side effects were seen in most evidence based studies. You can pump the milk before taking medicine and after 6 hours feed the child.
