T3 & T4 normal, TSH above normal range
My kid female child aged 15 years under went thyroid profile test on 03.02.2019 and the results were as under: T3 : 2.97 pg/ml T4 : 1.16 Ng/DL TSH: 10.610 UIU/ml Thereafter I repeated the test after 20 days in different laboratory and following results emerged: T3 : 0.97 ng/ml T4 : 8.80 if/dl TSH: 11.27UIU/ml Now the doctor has prescribed thyronorm 12.5. Please suggest if it is advisable to go for medication or to go for further investigation before the start of medicine.

She should be started on medication as you have already confirmed the report. Furthur investigation will be done if she also has a thyroid swelling in front of her neck,which can be decided by the doctor.
