Swollen lungs from 44 years of smoking
I have a swollen lung as i have smoked since the age of 9. I'm now 53 and still love that morning cigarette, but fear gravely for my health. Also, my 20 year old is complaining of lung pains and i smoked through his pregnancy( 20 a day) until labour, are the 2 linked?

Smoking during pregnancy leads to low birth weight and birth defects. It can lead to childhood asthma too. If you are smoking inside the house, then you are exposing your child to passive smoking that can cause various respiratory diseases. So directly or indirectly both are related.
Next Steps
You need to quit smoking. You will need good Deadiction regimen and also screened for Copd.
