Swollen eye
I believed it was a stye so I tried hot compresses, but after about 3 days it hasn't gone away. It feels like my inner corner of my eyeball is swollen. I've had a stye before and I could feel the stye on top of my eyelid when I moved it, this I cannot. I can constantly feel this odd tension in my eye as well, as if it's being strained.
I don't feel any immediate pain but it is very uncomfortable and I can't sleep well. No puss or redness is noticeable either.

Swelling in lids without pain indicate towards chalazion not stye, it can be removed with the help of minor surgery with no scar on skin.

This could be Chalazion
There are 3 Option for this
A. Medical management which includes hot fomentation followed by lid massage with index finger firmly from up to down..It may take a month for resolution with 70% chances of success
B. Intralesional kenacort injection with 90%success rate... Resolution may take a week
C. Incision... Immediate relief
