Swollen calves with pain
My mother regularly gets pain in the calves and ankle and it swells up often. Could you please advise whom should I consult? She also gets pain in the neck and headache often.

Agree with Dr Harsh, u could also see an orthopaedic surgeon in addition to a general surgeon for the neck pain and headache....

Hi there...I can understand your concern. The swelling and pain of the calves and ankle could be due to venous insufficiency. But sometimes even other disorders like low protein, right hear failure, renal disease. She will need a detailed clinical examination and further tests including venous doppler examination. So kindly consult a general surgeon for further evaluation.
